Jordan Anderson

Unnata® Aerial Yoga, Aerial Fit™

Jordan remembers doing handstands against the wall when she was a kid, trying to see how long she could stay up. She never did one as an adult until discovering yoga in 2000. After moving from New York City to Charleston in 2004, she received her teacher training certification through Holy Cow Yoga and Holistic Center and dedicated herself teaching yoga full-time.

Jordan took her first Aerial Yoga class in Brooklyn NY with Michelle Dortignac, founder of the technique. She was instantly hooked, and began practicing and learning aerial yoga at home.

In 2009 Jordan traveled back to NYC to study with Michelle Dortignac, and received her Unnata® Aerial Yoga teacher certification. Jordan brings her deep love and respect for the yoga tradition to the aerial practice, with a focus on mindfulness, alignment, and breath in every class.

Jordan also teaches and performs aerial circus arts. She has trained all over the US and beyond and is a performer with Wonderson Duo. In her spare time she designs websites with Good For You Web Design.

Clayton Woodson

Aerial Fit™, Aerial Kids

Clayton has spent a significant amount of time doing quite a bit of this and that here and there. He was a competitive swimmre for nearly 10 years. He trained 3 hours a day, six days a week, often swimming 5 miles in a day's workout, He has the distinct honor of losing to some very impressive swimmers.

Clayton looked to yoga to rehabilitate his shoulders and bring a little peace and calm to his life. Yoga led to partner yoga which, in turn, led to acrobatic yoga. Discovering aerial yoga came next and from their it was only a short leap into circus arts. His circus focus has been on aerial apparatus and hand balancing.

Clayton has been teaching in one form or another for as long as he can remember. He has taught countless numbers of children and adults to swim at a competitive level. He also taught 1st grade for the summer school program at the Chinese English dual language charter school Shuang Wen Academy in New York City's Chinatown.

In addition to teaching circus arts, Clayton is currently the co-founder and operating manager of AbundaTrade.com and a performer with Wonderson Duo.

Unnata®

Unnata® (which means "elevated" in Sanskrit...elevated in both body and mind) Aerial Yoga was developed by Michelle Dortignac, a yoga instructor trained at Om Yoga in NYC in 1998, and an aerialist. Since its inception in 2006 it has drawn people from around the world to its small studio in Brooklyn, NY.

In the first official teacher training, which Jordan was part of, people traveled from as far away as Tokyo Japan, Minneapolis, California, and New York to learn the practice and be able to bring it back to their own communities. Charleston SC joins the list of pioneering cities embracing this incredible new practice.
