Summer Intensive: Train Like a Superstar! Aerial Fit’s Summer Intensive will take you to the best version of yourself! It combines the best of the physical, mental, and creative rewards of an aerial practice. It’s a 6 week immersion into aerial training, customized to your own unique goals. Aerial Etiquette…Be in the Know for your First Class Want to try an aerial practice but nervous about showing up as a complete newbie? Fear not, we love beginners and can’t wait to get you flying! Here are some tips on what to expect and how to prepare for your first aerial class. Aerial is extremely fun, challenging, and an awesome workout and creative outlet. It is open to all, and everyone is welcomed and encouraged. Aerial is an art that celebrates differences and unique strengths, so there’s no reason to wait in order to try your first class. Read on and then sign yourself up! 1. Sign up ahead of time for the your first aerial class! Aerial classes are intentionally kept small, so simply showing up will not guarantee you a spot. 2. Arrive at least 10-15 minutes early for your first class. There will be paperwork for you to fill out, and many studios have a safety orientation that all first-timers must go through. Besides, the instructors would like a few minutes to meet you before beginning the class. 3. Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that covers the back of your knees and armpits. Balanced AF: What’s Your Ground Plan? Want to get a strong start and form healthy habits? Looking for ways to enrich your training outside of class? You need a ground plan! Join Desiree for this 4 week mini-series designed to help you get the most out of your aerial training by building a solid foundation for movement on the ground. We will focus on methods for improving body awareness, building strength, increasing range of motion, and preventing injury. We will use simple tools and accessible exercises to create connections in our minds and bodies. Each week we will target a specific area and homework will be given to help maximize your benefit. No pre-requisites. This series is intended for beginners and anyone who wants to improve their quality and ease of movement or enhance their injury prevention plan. Materials/Supplies: All necessary materials will be provided. Additionally, students may wish to bring a pen, notebook, and a folder to store handouts.
